LD Steps Out in partnership with the Cleveland Public Library with Songs Without Words–a special program of timeless melodies and inspired improvisations that finds common ground between the tender sentiments and rich harmonic language of 17th-century love songs and 20th century tunes made famous by Nina Simone, Edith Piaf, Billie Holiday, and more. Listeners will be transported by the innovative arrangements featuring baroque oboe, viola da gamba, and harpsichord–bringing joy and comfort through music that speaks through its simplicity and beauty.
