Tempesta performs two of its orchestral rediscoveries from the French high baroque: Jean-Philippe Rameau’s Les Fêtes de Polymnie, which the Inquirer called “a score so inventive, colorful, and overstuffed as to be delightfully subversive,“ and Jean-Marie Leclair’s Scylla et Glaucus, a “major revelation,” according to the Inquirer, bringing Tempesta di Mare’s two-season focus on French baroque theater music full circle and to a fitting close.
